Sadistik Exekution are a band that can really put you in a spot you dont want to be in. A few weeks back they reformed for a one off show at the Australian Metal Awards in Sydney. If you dont know me I’m partial to a bit of death metal sprinkled with a bit of theatrical arrogance. So I jumped at the chance to shoot these guys. I think the email went: ” Shoot these guys as its going to be great to have on file after they kill each other” Nothing was held back when they came on stage. The guitarist was dressed in something that only one could describe as a WW2 soldier crossed with a cyborg zombie from the future…. The bass player and drummer is typical nerd metal, but then out comes Rok……. Think 50 year old corpse that has been dug up, attacked by a hound then just eaten a baby! Through the first few songs, someone threw a real dead rat on stage which was tossed back into the crowd. Good times.
