This is the follow up to my photos of Melbourne’s The Red Shore. Check out my previous image here.
These guys are killing it at the moment and I dont see it stopping any time soon. When ever I go through the series of images we shot over the weekend it blows me away that they can be such nice humble guys and play such brutal music.
I also was lucky enough to watch my first game of AFL with Jamie while over at his house. You think this guy is dominating when he is one stage…? I am actually starting to get the idea and understand that AFL isn’t just a game its a lifestyle that has been passed down through families.
The Red Shore are on tour at the moment for the release of their album Lost Verses through Stomp Records. On the tour as well are The War and Shinto Katana.

“Come on junior!!!!!!!”
I shot up to Newcastle on the weekend to shoot a quick photo for my friend Dan Phelan. I got to know Dan through his old hardcore band growing up Ceasefire. But now he is a great designer and has done layouts for so many amazing Australian bands. Check out his design company Safetypin Designs.
But I got the call out to shoot a quick portrait of him for his DJ alter-ego. In the coming weeks he is going to be putting on an afternoon of sweet, Soul, Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady. Im super keen to make the trip up and chill out to some good tunes. Peep the flyer here.
